The Light Within Our Hearts

Yüreğimizdeki Işık (The Light Within Our Hearts) was set up under the coordination of Hatay Governorship after the 6 February 2023 Kahramanmaraş-centred earthquakes. It stands with children and young people in Hatay who were orphaned in the disaster, and runs education, health, psychological support, basic needs and social participation together.

  • Home visits are organised under the Governorship; education, health and social-assistance offices take part.
  • The Yüreğimizdeki Işık Association channels citizen and civil-society support. It works alongside the public institutions; it does not cover every cost on its own.
